Video: Kreayshawn – “Kreayshawn Tour” (Part 1)

Here’s a somewhat twisted look into the dysfunctional rap career of Kreayshawn and her weed carriers. I think I get it now: She doesn’t really rap, she just likes to act wild and throw in a semi-verse every now and then.

Rick Ross Cancels GSU Performance Following Mysterious Health Scare

Miami rapper Rick Ross has canceled yet another scheduled concert days after he suffered two seizures en route to a chicken wing restaurant’s grand opening in Memphis.

The latest cancellation involves a show that was supposed to take place at Georgia State University’s homecoming this Friday, October 21st, in downtown Atlanta.

After pointing out (or sorta bitching about) the 8-12 weeks lost along with other wasted planning involved in putting together a show that big, the school released a statement saying they understood Ross’ situation:

“We are disappointed he had to cancel, but completely understand that Rick Ross needs to take care of…himself at this time. We hope he is better soon.”(GSU Statement)

The school has said refunds will be issued to anyone who paid in advance for tickets.

Its the third concert in a row that Ross has had to cancel. And nobody seems to know what caused Ross to fall ill so suddenly and dramatically, even though some folks think drugs and alcohol may have played a part. But I’m gonna leave that alone because I don’t know one way or the other.

Since the seizures, Ross has tweeted pics of himself and has assured his fans he’s OK.

M.J.’s Kids Come Out For All-Star Tribute In Britain

Some members of the famous Jackson clan came to Cardiff, Wales, to watch a number of stars pay tribute to the late  King Of Pop, Michael Jackson.

Michael Jackson’s children were in attendance, along with a few cousins, three uncles and their aunt, the ever-ghoulish LaToya. By the way, that isn’t a Madame Tussauds wax figurine standing next to the kids on stage–frighteningly, its actually LaToya herself.

Michael’s kids were seen wearing a few of the threads he made famous, including that world-renowned “V”-letter, red and black jacket. Anybody ever figure out what the V stood for?

Among the star studded ensemble gracing the stage for the event were Jamie Foxx, Christina Aguilera, Gladys Knight and Cee Lo Green, Smokey Robinson and Ne-Yo, who perhaps wore the world’s shiniest pleather outfit ever known to man.

Ticket sales were said to be a drag for the event, which was boycotted by Janet and brothers Jermaine and Randy, who thought it was in poor taste to have the concert while the man who is accused of assisting in Michael’s death, Dr. Conrad Murray, is on trial.

Check out a few pix from the event after the break.

Jay-Z & Kanye West Form New Super-Group

Two of Hip Hop’s biggest names are banding together to create a super-group–at least for the purposes of recording an album and touring that is. Beyonce’s husband, Jay-Z, and Amber Rose’s former cuddle buddy, Kanye West, will be known as “The Throne”.

The duo’s new collaborative album, entitled “Watch The Throne”, will drop on August 8th.

The first single from the album, “Otis”, went on sale today on iTunes. The album features production from The Neptunes, Wu-Tang’s RZA and Mike Dean.

Maybe not surprisingly, Beyonce is featured on the album; so are the late Curtis Mayfield, Frank Ocean and others.

Official tour dates and locations after the jump.

Gucci Mane Gets Out Of Jail, Heads North To Chattanooga

He’s a free man now that his time behind bars for his latest arrest has concluded. And now Gucci’s taking over the border town of Chattanooga, Tennessee, this according to his Twitter page. The ATL rapper told his more than half a million followers on Twitter that he’ll be performing at a club up there tonight.

For those who don’t know, that’s about an hour and twenty minute drive north of Atlanta–shorter if you drive fast, which I don’t recommend because the area is filled with cops with radar– right next door to Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Glad Gucci’s home and word is there are supposed to be several other parties and events planned for him over the weekend in the A. It must be nice to be a rap superstar, huh? And to think, most of ya’ll dudes have a hard time getting a ride from jail let alone finding a place to live once you get sprung from lock-up and yet Gucci is once again getting the royal treatment–and getting paid to boot, just from jumping out the cell block. Oh, the life of a super-baller.

Let’s just hope he stays out of trouble in Chattanooga because even though its a small city, it also has a jail too. They say it stays overcrowded as well.

BTW, hopefully Gucci will let somebody else do the driving, that way he won’t get tempted to sling another chick out of the whip.

Concert Promoter “Praying” Nothing Happens At Music Festival Headlined By Rick Ross

The promoter behind Atlantic City’s Summer Fest 2011 isn’t thinking something bad will happen when Rick Ross, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, Meek Mill, and Beanie Siegel take the stage today. Just in case, he invoked divinity and said he’s “praying” nothing will happen. Wow, Rick Ross is so strong in the game these days, he’s even drawing people to The Lord!

The concert is expected to draw about 7,000 people.

Rick Ross, of course, will be headlining the event, which also features the the other aforementioned rappers . But clearly, Ross is the main draw.

And reassuringly for the rap stars, Ross won”t be the only one on the scene who used to carry a badge: About 100 guards and a handful of cops will be on hand to help keep things copasetic.

Apparently, event promoters heard that Ross, Jim Jones and Juelz Santana had been caught in violent controversies before so they decided to not take any chances and beefed up security. Maybe the promoters confused Hip Hop concerts for Hindu prayer ceremonies? Here’s the local press commenting on the Rap stars’ previous drama:

Gunshots have often been tied to Ross shows. In 2008, a charity event in Florida’s Miami Gardens was cut short when shots were fired near the event. Ross’ publicist told MTV News at the time that Ross did not want to leave his fans like that, so he returned for a brief performance and then went into the audience to shake hands and sign autographs…

When Jones played the House of Blues in 2006, fights broke out, spilling out into the porte cochere. Nine police reports mark that night, and include one arrest and a man who needed stitches in his lip. A Press of Atlantic City story at that time reported about two dozen police cars along with an assist from K-9 officers…

But Santana’s history may be more troubling. He was arrested in Feb. 1, after a 10-month investigation led by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office’s Gang Unit found two loaded 9 mm handguns, several boxes of ammunition, marijuana and drug paraphernalia at his recording studio in Bergenfield, Bergen County.–PressOfAtlanticCity

The concert starts at 5 P.M. Do you think promoters are overreacting?
