Nicki Minaj Named Billboard’s “Rising Star Of 2011″
Not too surprisingly, Nicki Minaj has been named Billboard’s top artist of 2011.
This is further confirmation that Nicki’s unusual faces, flirtations with bipolar behavior, and Barbie couture equal odd but winning strategies.
Nicki Minaj has been named Billboard’s “Rising Star” for 2011, capping off a year that has seen the hip-hop star top the charts with her massive-selling “Pink Friday” album and, most recently, earn a pair of trophies at the American Music Awards. The Rising Star Award acknowledges Minaj’s phenomenal year and will be presented at the Billboard Women in Music Event on Dec. 2 in New York City.
Minaj will be joined at the sixth annual event by Billboard Woman of the Year Taylor Swift, her friend and an early booster through radio interviews and a widely seen concert cameo.
“I am deeply honored to be recognized by Billboard,” says Minaj. “My nation of barbz and I have come a mighty long way; yet we are nowhere close to where God will take us. Sit back and enjoy the ride.”–(Billboard)
Nicki’s debut album, Pink Friday, has sold almost two million copies in the U.S. so far; her next album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, will drop on Valentine’s Day 2012.

Evidently, it doesn’t take much to get Nicki Minaj going. Just ask her former maid. And now her facial expert, who says Nicki is one crazy ass critter.
We’ve seen her many faces and heard her international accents. Not to mention her assortment of bubble gum colored wigs. But is Nicki Minaj kinda nutty–for real, for real?

Following her verbal beat-down of a maid, outrageous hip hop star Nicki Minaj has unleashed a vicious tirade on celebrity facialist Dawn DaLuise, Star magazine has exclusively revealed.
“After I waxed her eyebrows and lip, she started screaming ‘Who the f**k do you think you are?’” DaLuise exclusively told Star. “‘Look what you did to my damn face! You think this sh*t is worth 170 dollars?’”
The beauty expert, who owns Dawn DaLuise Skin Refinery in Los Angeles, said she had never been treated so badly in her life, as she detailed how the pink-haired Super Bass singer threw wads of bills at her and stormed out.
Reportedly, the facialist had come to Minaj’s house before and noticed the rapper’s face was covered with unusual, red splotches. WTF?

Drake Hits Up ‘Saturday Night Live’
Drake is a phenomenal rapper but he’s boring as hell as an actor.
The ironic thing here is that Drake started his career as an actor. But now that he’s found immense fame and fortune as a rapper, he needs to just stick with that. He’s no ‘Pac or Ice-T when it comes to cinema.
Drake eased through his two performances, one with Nicki Minaj, who people like to keep imagining he’s romantically involved with. But they’re great on stage together. Peep them perform “I’M So Proud Of You” below.

Nicki Minaj Surprises ‘Super Bass’ Little Girls On ‘Ellen’
Two little girls whose online version of Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” went viral came on the ‘Ellen’ show and were taken by total surprise when their idol, Nicki Minaj herself, showed up.
One of the little girls–who is 5 years old and is also the primary MC in the video– leaped up and down when she spotted Nicki. Nicki told both girls to keep at it but to also stay in school.
Nicki Minaj said once she saw the British girls’ video she said she knew she had to meet them:
“Within five seconds of seeing this video, I was calling everyone I knew,” Minaj told DeGeneres. “I was also receiving a billion emails. Everyone was like, ‘You have to see this little girl!’ She blew me away!”–(Nicki Minaj On ‘Ellen’)

Nicki Minaj ‘Fashion Week’ Pic
Wow. Is there some hidden conspiracy among Nicki Minaj’s people to find every wig and costume available for her to wear that will make her look absolutely ridiculous?
I love some Nicki but she needs people who will talk her out of situations like this–or at least throw some holy water on her.
Fashion critics are said to be raving over Nicki’s style choices and sometimes she’s on point. But not this time.
But check this out, I’m no fashion expert. My realm of fashion expertise begins with Rocawear and ends with Coogi. And I could really care less what celebs are wearing and where they’re wearing it at. Some bloggers are obsessed with such things–I’m not one of them. That said, in this hard to explain get-up, ironically, an outfit designed for a recent fashion show in New York, Nicki looks like she’s ready to run with giraffes, elephants and wildebeests in the Sahara desert.
Does anybody else think she ‘s dressed just like the ‘Cowardly Lion’ from ‘The Wizard Of Oz’?

Nicki Minaj Gives Drake A Lap Dance
Nicki Minaj gave her good friend Drake a sexy lap dance while performing in his hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada recently. Looks like Drake was appreciative.
I’m not sure about the two of them. They both adore publicity. And after the events of just a week or two ago, Nicki could certainly use it.
Meanwhile, this teasing is getting boring. If they’re screwing then why not just let the public know for sure? And as a bonus, Drake seems to be laid back and passive, not the type of guy who’d beat Nicki with a suitcase or anything.

Nicki Minaj Caught In Lie Over Hotel ‘Incident’
This isn’t a good look for our favorite Barbie. TMZ has unearthed the actual 911 recording of Nicki Minaj calling for cops to come assist her after the much-reported “incident” last month in which Nicki suffered a bruised mouthpiece.
Back then, Nicki denied there had been a domestic altercation and blamed a moving suitcase for her busted lip. But Dallas police said an incident occurred between Nicki and her longtime dude–and it was reported that an existing police report would confirm as much. Either way, its hard to dismiss a 911 recording.
The tape lasts several excruciating, anxiety-filled minutes and you can hear Nicki screaming, ” “Look at what he did to my face!” in the background. You can also hear the couple exchanging comments back and forth.
Of course, last month Nicki claimed there was no drama. Nicki Minaj on Twitter after the drama went public last month:
“The fact that u believe a man either slapped or punched me in the face & didn’t leave on a stretcher w/his balls hangin off? #getaF%cknLifedenied.”
“The media could pee on ur leg & tell u its raining. You’d believe it. You’d believe u were an adopted martian if TMZ told u so. #stopit5.”
Nicki’s boyfriend and suspected batterer, Safaree Samuels, supplemented her Tweet with his own. He started off by blaming the public for his own violent drama:
