Rick Ross Says Lack Of Rest, NOT OTHER STUFF, Caused Seizures
As you know, Rick Ross suffered a couple of shocking and violent seizures recently, prompting all sorts of rumors about the Miami-Dade rapper–not the least of which being the root of his medical condition.
Chief among the rumors was that the big man had become an even bigger powder head, and robust bottle popper. And rumor had it that a combined overindulgence of both may have led to those seizures, which required Ross to not only need emergency resuscitation, but temporary hospitalization as well.
But Ross came on 106 & Park to clear up the rumors, and says sleep deprivation and working too hard are the true culprits:
“It was a case of me not getting enough rest, just not getting enough sleep so I had to fix that”.–(Rick Ross, 106 & Park)
Its possible folks, so put that side eye on pause. But I still think he needs to stay off that rumored baby powder and vast assortment of cocktails that he didn’t talk about though.
Fortunately, Ross said the doc gave him a clean bill of health, and that’s something everybody can feel good about. Meanwhile, Ross insisted he will now get the proper rest and take it easier, while still staying on his grind. We can only hope so. Seizures can be life-threatening, so let’s hope Ross takes care of himself for real.

Rick Ross Cancels GSU Performance Following Mysterious Health Scare
Miami rapper Rick Ross has canceled yet another scheduled concert days after he suffered two seizures en route to a chicken wing restaurant’s grand opening in Memphis.
The latest cancellation involves a show that was supposed to take place at Georgia State University’s homecoming this Friday, October 21st, in downtown Atlanta.
After pointing out (or sorta bitching about) the 8-12 weeks lost along with other wasted planning involved in putting together a show that big, the school released a statement saying they understood Ross’ situation:
“We are disappointed he had to cancel, but completely understand that Rick Ross needs to take care of…himself at this time. We hope he is better soon.”(GSU Statement)
The school has said refunds will be issued to anyone who paid in advance for tickets.
Its the third concert in a row that Ross has had to cancel. And nobody seems to know what caused Ross to fall ill so suddenly and dramatically, even though some folks think drugs and alcohol may have played a part. But I’m gonna leave that alone because I don’t know one way or the other.
Since the seizures, Ross has tweeted pics of himself and has assured his fans he’s OK.

Khaled And Rick Ross Take a Pic; But What Caused Ross’ Seizure??
After suffering TWO seizures on TWO different planes in ONE day, Rick Ross eventually made it to his destination–the opening of a chicken wing eatery in Memphis, Tennessee. Lawd, why did I have a feeling food was somehow involved?
DJ Khaled Twitted this pic of himself and Ross and some other dude last night.
I hope Ross is taking it easy. One seizure is bad enough but two is down right dangerous. There could be a number of medical causes that trigger a seizure but commonly, culprits can include high sodium; kidney troubles; heavy alcohol consumption; excessive cocaine use and epilepsy. People are speculating if one or more of those things caused Ross to have that double health scare last week. But nobody really knows because nobody in the know is talking about it. But what IS known is that eating a ton of greasy ass chicken wings isn’t the healthiest thing for anybody whose prone to seizures AND overweight.
Well at least it doesn’t appear that he mixed the wings with alcohol.

Report: Rick Ross Suffered Seizure, Fell into Unconsciousness, Rushed To Hospital!!
TMZ is reporting that rapper Rick Ross had quite a health scare this morning on a flight from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Memphis, Tennessee.
Ross’ situation was so dire that the flight had an emergency landing–and CPR had to be performed on the Hip Hop superstar thanks to a doctor who was, fortunately, on the flight.
Evidently, in-flight calm gave way to mass hysteria on the airplane after Ross passed out moments after takeoff.
A call to 911 said that Ross had suffered a seizure.
But according to reports, Ross is doing fine now and is getting treatment in a Florida hospital. There doesn’t seem to be much information available at te moment beyond that for the moment.
But its very good and encouraging news to hear that Ross is OK now.

Rick Ross Names His Favorite Rappers; Side Steps Lil Wayne/Jay-Z Beef
The biggest man in Hip Hop–literally–is sharing his thoughts on who his favorite rappers are.
The Bearded Baron of Rap has his own new music out right now, having dropped his new track with Nicki Minaj, “You the Boss”, today on iTunes.
Not surprisingly, Ross put his own Maybach ensemble at the top of his list. Surprisingly, he didn’t list himself.
He also vaguely refers to the Lil Wayne/Jay-Z beef without digging too deep. Remember, Ross is deeply familiar with beef since he himself was once bickering with a number of celebs at the same time (Young Jeezy; Carmine Gotti; 50 Cent; the real “Freeway” Rick Ross, etc.).
Meanwhile, Ross put Lil Wayne and Drake at the top of his list. You’ll find out his other picks in this interview with DJ Absolut.

Just in case you thought A-Town’s favorite home girl was MIA, Monica is back with a new track/video featuring Rick Ross, “Anything (To Find You)”.
Monica channelled the ’90s with this cool track and clever visuals–and it works.
Monica’s seventh studio album drops on November 8th and its called ‘My life’, which was, coincidentally, also the title of Mary J. Blige’s 1994 multi-platinum selling album.
Mercifully, Rick Ross spares us any close-ups of his man titsies in the vid, probably out of respect for the married Monica.

Throwback Clip Of The Week: Rick Ross Falls On Stage
Check out this ’09 clip of the Miami Hip Hop Don falling on his ass while performing. Interestingly, Ross seemed to have fell without any identifiable reason for doing so. Meanwhile, he struggled mightily to lift all those pounds up on his own.
It looks like he needed several of his home boys to help him get up. Maybe a fork lift could have done the job quicker?
Luckily, Ross didn’t fall off the stage and into the throngs of thrilled fans below who were cheering him on. Had he fell into the crowd, somebody might have been squashed to death.
