Waka Flocka Drops New Mixtape; Takes A Jab At Rick Ross??

Waka Flocka dropped his new mixtape last week. “Lebron Flocka James 3″ features the usual crew–mostly everybody on Brick Squad, but also Canadian rapper Drake on the tape’s last track, “Round Of Applause [Prod. By Lex Luger]“.

Waka flocka is said to be have some big moves in the making, and recently went on twitter saying Brick Squad will be the next Bad Boy Records or Cash Money records:

“WE THE NEW #CASHMONEY #BADBOY ETC. #SQUAD http://FACEBOOK.COM/TAMMYRIVERA MY PERSONAL ASSISTANT”–(Waka Flocka Twitter)

Waka has also aligned himself with infamous Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight, who will help Waka get into other ventures, such as films, reportedly.

Waka starts this mixtape off with an interesting comment when describing the parity in the Brick Squad ranks:

“Ain’t no leader, ain’t nobody broadcasting they the boss…none of that”.–(Waka Flocka, Mixtape Prelude)

Suge Knight & Waka Flocka Link Up??

Waka Flocka told XXL some interesting news the other day: He and infamous Death Row CEO Suge Knight are now business partners.

“It’s valid. It ain’t no rumors. It’s what it is,” Waka said about working with the Death Row Records co-founder. “You gotta really start pulling in people in the game who know the game. Suge is not the only one. I’ma start snatching in the real ones. Suge helped me get a good movie deal. Now I need to get on the TV screen. Ain’t nothing wrong with fuckin’ with some Gs. I fuck with Master P too. They’re just good for information, homie.

“He’s helping me oversee the company,” Waka added about Knight. “I’m not trying to be ‘Pac, I’m not trying to be Death Row. I’m Brick Squad Monopoly. My mother is still my manager. I ain’t changing shit. It is what it is. But it’s like having Jordan and Kobe. Why not play with both?”–(XXL)

Is this Suge’s way of getting back in the game? Could be. We all know that Suge Knight can build an empire; the man single-handedly turned Death Row into a multi-million dollar machine. But Death Row’s fall was spectacular amid the shadow of the unsolved homicide of Tupac Shakur and the label’s eventual bankruptcy. And all of that happened with Suge at the helm.

But that was  along time ago. Waka gets points for securing a famed former industry boss for his team. I guess we’ll have to just wait and see what comes from this.

Beef Alert: Waka Flocka Responds To His Alleged Ghost Writer

A rapper named Kebo Gotti says he held Brick Squad’s Waka Flocka down and even wrote Waka’s “Grove Street” song. There’s clearly some beef brewing on the stove down in Clayton County and Kebo has said all sorts of things about Waka and his Brick squad.

The war of wills maybe started on Twitter but has now spread to the neighborhood, it seems.

But the real head turner is Waka Flocka allegedly using this man as a ghost writer. Say what?

Kebo denied he was the man who was throttled by a Waka-affiliated mob at that bowling alley on Metropolitan Parkway during Waka’s recent celebrity bowling tournament slash charity event that ended up temporarily turning into a star-studded free-for-all.

But Waka responded the other day and denies everything Kebo said, including the ghost writing part.

Ummm, I’m just hoping these dudes sit down and work this out because this doesn’t have the feel of fake beef among non-gangstas. You know, like most Rap beefs? Yep, I’d say these dudes right here are the real deal.

In other intriguing news about these fellas, there’s a video in circulation that reportedly  shows Kebo taking on Slim Duncan, a dude whose known to have some decent hands. Purportedly, the rumble takes place in the middle of the daytime on a busy downtown Atlanta street right near the courthouse. How appropriate.

Waka Flocka Rocked In Bowling Alley Fight??

New footage of the fight that took place at Waka Flocka’s celebrity bowling charity event the other night on Atlanta’s southside has come to light and TMZ says Waka Flocka was rocked by someone whom sources have told me is a rapper who was once affiliated with Waka’s ‘Brick Squad’. I’m getting several reports on what dude’s name is.

The video is hard to see but clearly, Waka should have been better prepared for the haymaker that was coming in his direction. By the way, where the fuck was his security while he was under attack?

Whether or not he was hit is hard to tell so I’ll let you decide but a haymaker was clearly hurled very close to his head.

From what’s been told to me by people who were there, the man who threw the punch and his allies were not intimidated by the sheer number of Waka’s people in the house. Unfortunately for them, however, they were subsequently overwhelmed and beaten down before they left the vicinity by the numerically superior Waka posse.

Fight Breaks Out At Waka Flocka ‘Celebrity Bowling’ Event

Celebrity photog and blogger Freddy O was in the house last night at Metro Lanes in southwest Atlanta where Waka Flocka hosted his widely touted celebrity bowling event. But at some point, drama unfolded and a brief melee ensued.

Tell me you’re not surprised. Its Waka Flocka, not Barry Manilow.

The event was slated to be a night filled with fun and celebrity appearances that included rapper Ludacris and his people, famed Lil Wayne baby mama and reality star Antonia “Toya” Carter and industry exec Debra Antney, CEO of Mizay Entertainment, who happens to be Waka’s mama.

During the event, Ms. Antney announced that her company would be donating ten Atlanta-area homes to in-need families. Now that’s giving back for real. Soon after that heartening announcement, all hell broke loose.

Freddy O says a former Waka associate accosted the ‘Brick Squad’ rapper and then came the fisticuffs. It looks like the allegedly disgruntled affiliate brought a couple of friends with him too.

New Video…Waka Flocka (Feat. Slim Dunkin & Yung Joey) – Banned From The Club

No surprises here–its just what you typically expect from a Waka Flocka video-stuntin, threats of violence and dreadlock slangin. Overall, a pretty cool video.

He gets some help from fellow Brick Squad members Slim Dunkin and Yung Joey.

Waka Flocka Mama Once Again Accused Of Taking The Money And Running??

Waka Flocka’s Mama, industry vet Debra Antney, is a power player in the music industry. The New York-born, Clayton County mother and business manager has helped shepherd her son, Gucci Mane, Nicki Minaj and others into the sphere of million dollar deals and touring contracts. But she’s also had her share of scandals, including a well-publicized beef with Ozone Magazine’s Julia Beverly.

Caught in the mix was also promoter Johnny Cabelle, who Debra reportedly cut ties with after some shady dealings were alleged. Ozone said both Johnny and Debra were fraudulently booking shows featuring Gucci Mane–who was in jail at the time.

Debra fired back and exposed Ozone for allegedly being both the publishing voice–and booking manager–for Southern Hip Hop, which clearly raises journalistic ethics questions.

Debra also strongly denied any accusations of fraud or unprofessional conduct. She also denied that she was the target of an FBI probe, which Julia Beverly seemed to insinuate in a lengthy article published in Ozone and on the magazine’s website, purportedly exposing Debra as a big-time con artist.

But when the dust settled, many observers, ironically, believed Julia did more to call into question Ozone’s credibility than to shine a light on Debra and Johnny.

But now, Jacky Jasper, of HollywoodStreetKing.com, has shared new information that threatens to once again call into question Debra’s business practices. According to Jacky, a group called June 5th has retained a lawyer and has issued a cease and desist letter demanding Debra stop being their manager:

http://6minutz.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/debra-antney-cease-and-desist-letter11.jpg

Not sure how legal this letter is, since its not signed by a lawyer nor does it appear to have any sort of legal endorsement on it. But I think the picture is clear on what’s being alleged here.

It doesn’t appear Debra Antney nor Waka have made a public statement on these accusations yet.
